The V2 remote range has been tested beyond typical industry standards to ensure real world durability.
During testing, we pushed the remotes well beyond normal use. In one series of tests, an AOTXv2 was fully submerged in water for over 12 hours, run over by a Toyota Hilux and put through multiple washing machine cycles. At each stage, the remote continued to operate as expected and maintained its waterproof integrity.
Our remote controls use a proprietary coding system engineered to perform in real world environments where signal interference is common. Many remotes in the market quote “100m range in open field testing”, which sounds great until you realise most doors aren’t installed in a paddock.
Our remotes have been tested in real world conditions, achieving 100m+ range in industrial environments, including operation through office walls, shed walls and even shipping containers. Button Battery Safety
Safety is a core part of the V2 remote design. In response to the ACCC’s button battery safety standards, the Auto Openers V2 remote has been engineered without the use of button or coin cell batteries. Instead, it uses a safer battery design housed within a secure, sealed enclosure.
This approach eliminates the risks associated with small coin batteries while still delivering the reliable performance expected from a modern garage door remote. By designing beyond the minimum safety requirements, Auto Openers provides added peace of mind for households with young children.
