Steel-Line Garage Door Weather Seal – 1m Length

This Steel-Line garage door weather seal is designed to replace worn or damaged bottom seals on Steel-Line roller and sectional garage doors. The seal slides into the retainer channel on the bottom of the door to create a tight barrier against dust, water, leaves and rodents.

Over time garage door seals can become brittle, crack or shrink due to exposure to harsh Australian weather conditions. Replacing the bottom weather seal restores the door’s ability to seal properly while improving the appearance of the garage door.

This Steel-Line weather seal is supplied in convenient 1 metre lengths and can be cut to suit the required door width.

Signs Your Garage Door Seal Needs Replacing

• Cracks or deterioration in the rubber seal
• The seal no longer sits tightly against the floor

Garage door weather seals typically last between 5 and 10 years depending on weather exposure and general use.

Installation Instructions

Step 1
Remove the existing seal by sliding it out of the retainer track on the bottom of the door.

Step 2
Place the new seal in warm soapy water for approximately 10 minutes to soften it. Clean the retainer track while waiting.

Step 3
Apply a small amount of dish soap inside the retainer track to lubricate it. Feed the seal into the track with the ridges facing outward.

Step 4
Trim the seal so approximately 10–20mm extends past each side of the door to allow for minor shrinkage over time.
